About Najmi

Najmi (نجمي, “my star”) draws the night sky exactly as it stood over a place at a minute you choose, from the Hipparcos star catalogue. Bright stars carry the Arabic names that astronomers still use — most English star names came from Arabic in the first place.

It is built and run from Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Star positions are computed in your browser; nothing you type is sent to us.
